Social Media

How often should I post to social media?

The answer to how often a business should post on social media accounts is dependent on a number of factors including the social media channel your business appears on, what industry you operate in, who your audience is, and what type of content you are creating. More important than a single number is that your business accounts have a consistent presence. Bulk posting for a week and then going radio silent for six months will do more harm than good, so don't over commit to something you cannot maintain.

How do I setup Facebook ads?

While you can "boost" a social media post (and may have seen these prompts when logged in to your business page) Facebook and Instagram advertsiting is actually managed through a separate ads manager account for your business. Here you can specify audience targeting, look at specific performance metrics like CTR, CPC and ad spend. This is not as user friendly as a quick boost of a post and requires training in order to use properly. If you are interested in using Meta Ads Manager, it is best to hire a professional to set up and manage your ads to avoid them being rejected or delivered to the wrong audience.

Can you post on my Facebook page for me?

I sure can! I offer a variety of social media packages over a number of platforms to post organic content (think newsfeed) to accounts as well as run paid ad campaigns. Check out my social media services page for more.

How do I change my business hours on Google?

Anyone who has ever tried to contact Google for something knows that it is only slightly easier than trying to contact Facebook. 😂 In all seriousness, the way to make changes to your Google listing is by claiming it through your Google My Business (now called Google Business) account online. You will have to claim the listing and verify your business identity and mailing address through a series of steps. There is a postcard involved. (Not kidding).

How do I show up in Google search results?

Showing up in search results depends on a number of factors, including local industry competition. There are a number of ways to increase your ranking on Google organically - we call this SEO (Search Engine Optimization) - including writing intentional copy on your website, social media pages, and third-party listings. Owning your Google Business page helps, as well as knowing what your potential customers are searching for. SEO is a massive topic and the details are ever-evolving. Your best bet before investing with anyone is to have a sit-down with a company you trust that can explain more about your industry and area before signing a check. Spoiler: you don't need to run CPC ads from the start.

How much should I pay to advertise on Google?

See answer above. Every marketing budget will vary based on industry, local competition but to start, you shouldn't be investing in any ad campaigns until your foundation is set up correctly.
